36 weeks 2 days

Had my first weekly appointment this morning and it went smoothly. She gave me a bunch of handouts and discussed some details of the big day like who is going to be in there with me, pain relief, etc. I am 1cm but no effacement. I know I could be this way next week so trying not to get too anxious. Want to get the carrier bases installed this weekend but need to vacuum both cars first. Got all of the smaller clothes without tags, blankets, towels, and sheets washed last weekend. I need to finish the thank you cards but ran out of them so off to get more this weekend. Still can't think of a good hostess gift for Sherrie but will try to get it before Sunday. The house is decent but not as clean as I would like it to be. The basics I keep up on but last night I noticed the baseboard along one of the stairs is really dusty, its things like this that have not been addressed.

Here is my picture from Wednesday.

34 weeks 2 days

Last biweekly appointment was this morning, I go back Feb 25th. Everything is right on track, actually lost a couple lbs but I attribute that to being sick. I get to work and see streamers all around my door, balloons and pictures. Leda, Sara, & Terry stayed last night and decorated. We had a potluck and they surprised me with presents too. They had chipped in and gotten us the infant carrier and extra base. I am still in shock and so very grateful! My boss had to go down and meet a client of ours on the Ohio river and brought back 2 cases of Yuengling Beer for Neil, he will be thrilled! The shower is Sunday so I am starting the weekend off right. We have completed half of our child birthing class and the newborn care class. Next week is the other half of the CB class and the breastfeeding class. After that is the infant CPR the first week of March.

My baby bump from Wednesday....new camera too since I broke the other one

33 weeks

I hate being sick!!! Neil and I got the flu bug I think. He got it first and then me. Luckily some of it hit over the weekend so we stayed in bed and did nothing. Now I need to work on disinfecting the house. I have done some but really need to do a deep cleaning but the lack of energy makes all chores exhausting. We missed the Labor and Delivery tour as it was Sunday and neither of us was in any shape to go. It did take some convincing from Neil for me to make the decision not to go. I was going to tough it out but glad I didn't now. Our first childbirth class is this coming Monday and parenting class is Tuesday. Then Wednesday is the appt to get our taxes done and his grandma is having surgery to have part of her thyroid removed. I usually do our taxes but with selling and buying houses this year I was afraid I'd screw something up. Hope to go back to doing it myself next year.

Baby Kaitlyn is doing great. She loves to squirm! Moving as I type in fact. I feel so bad everytime I cough or sneeze wondering what it feels like to her. My lower abdomen is sooo sore from all the coughing. Sleep is priceless right now and would love to get more than an hour or so at one time. I feel her a lot at night but I don't know if she has always moved or if its just that I am awake. Seems to range between 1-5 every morning. Can't make any more progress on her room or stuff till after the shower to in a holding pattern for now. No bump pic yet but maybe later this week.

From the Bump:
Your Baby: Month 8

Baby’s senses are continuing to improve -- when light peeks in through your (extremely) stretched belly, those tiny eyelids and irises blink and dilate. And, baby can now recognize and react to simple songs… time to start practicing your lullabies! Growth (at least inside your womb) is starting to slow, and you may notice baby descend into your pelvis at the end of this month
